The Dandy at Dusk is an extension of the author’s eponymous book of 2017 (The Dandy at Dusk – Taste and Melancholy in the 20th Century, Head of Zeus). While in the first place exploring further some of the Pandora’s boxes opened in the book it also hopes to extend its view of the world in tandem with the author. Whilst coming from a mind to which taste has over and over proved to be more real than any other kind of discourse, what is written on these pages shall not be limited by taste. Taste understood as a poetic sensorium used with analytical intelligence, is a tool that aims to transcend rather than to enforce. Contributions by friend and foe, believers and heretics are to be regularly featured.
