Continuing in our interior design series we present the spectacular flat of the Viennese painter and stage designer Stefan Riedl. While the flat is situated in a 16th century building Riedl has created an eclectic dream of the dix-huitième rich with trompe l’oeil effects and never shy of the odd solecism against decorating orthodoxy. Here the polymath plays host to dinner parties with an ever changing but never less than illustrious guest list and glories in his role as Vienna’s no.1 enfant terrible.
